The school begins on Monday, August 25, 2003. The duration of the school is one week and a half, including 8 days of classes, Monday through Friday and Saturday morning. Each day, there will be 7 lectures units of 40 min by the staff and by invited speakers. Social trips will be organized on Saturday 30 afternoon and Sunday 31.

The school will be composed of the courses described below. Teaching will be conducted in 40 minutes units with substantial breaks in between. Each course is conceived as a whole, with a reasonable number of goals to be achieved by the end of it. The prerequisite material needed for understanding each course will be the classical topics taught at the graduate student level in Mathematics, Physics or Engineering. If non-standard material is necessary, an appropriate introduction will be included in the course itself. Concise course materials will be distributed on the first day of school.

All the communications regarding the school will be done electronically and through this web page, which will provide, besides the information on the school, a forum for discussions during the preparation of the school as well as a reserved area for access to preparatory material for the courses as well as draft lectures notes, possibly by April 15.
